Thunder at Seven Months
Wildhare Distant Thunder (Am Ch Elidas Stardom In Action JC x Am Ch Wheatland Delta Dawn JC) After Delta finished her championship we talked to some other breeders and thanks to Shellie Juden (Elidas Whippets) we found a beautiful male right next door in Kansas to breed her to. Delta and Pete's pedigrees fit wonderful together. Ok now we have a litter on the way. It's time to think about a theme. I have always been the one who came up with our themes, but this time it was Dwights turn. He wanted these puppies to have registered names depicting our Oklahoma weather. We're keeping a male out of the litter! That's a first for us. So now a name for that boy. The summer of '06 was something else! Dry and hot! We would, however, hear Thunder. It seldom brought rain though and was always off in the Distance. So there you have it. Our first boy would be named Wildhare Distant Thunder. Till we had him I had no idea how true it was that male Whippets are so very loving. He is a love and wonderful to live with.

Here's Thunder with judge Cindy Scott being awarded Best Puppy at the 2006 WRA National Match held at WindyGlen. We were so proud of him. He was also awarded an Award Of Merit in a group of outstanding Whippets. And all of this at 3 months old. Thank you Cindy. |
